I provide patient-centered healthcare.

At the end of the day, we are all human beings with feelings, emotions and experiences, and not a collection of symptoms.

With a compassionate, thorough and integrative approach, I am able to treat you as a whole person and not the sum of your parts. You are not defined by what you are experiencing. With you at the centre of my care you are able to advocate for yourself and your family.

Below you will find some detailed information about how I can help YOU complete your circle of care and live your best life NOW!

Important Update - COVID-19

In light of the COVID-19 pandemic and in coordination with the College of Naturopaths of Ontario, College of Massage Therapists of Ontario, CTCMPAO and Ontario’s Chief Medical Officer of Health I am now able to offer in-person visits with appropriate PPE.

I will continue to offer virtual appointments as it has been a valuable and convenient approach to providing care.

Pre - Conception Care

For some of you, you are at the beginning of your fertility journey, while others have been needing extra support for some time. I have an integrative and collaborative approach to achieving peak fertility potential, whether you are trying to conceive naturally or with ART methods (ICSI, IVF). If you are waiting for your government-supported cycle then now is the best time to prepare you body and bring it into balance. Utilize the strengths of naturopathic medicine, enhance your dietary intake of fertility supportive foods and nutrients, acupuncture, correct nutritional deficiencies, balance hormones
(balanced cycles, ovulation, happy periods), regulate your thyroid function and adapt to stress. Acupuncture is widely used and successfully integrated with your Reproductive Endocrinologists’
(fertility doctor) protocol.

Think no interactions with your medications and supportive, balancing treatments. I have extensive, additional training using acupuncture and naturopathic medicine to help you to be hopeful about what is possible. Nourish your body before you “plant the seed”.

I want to be part of your fertility journey to help support excellent egg quality, conception and a healthy, vibrant pregnancy.

Prenatal Care

The benefits of perinatal naturopathic medicine don’t end when you conceive, its strengths are even more apparent. This is a time when women look for safe, natural alternatives to support them throughout the entire pregnancy. We want to correct any nutritional deficiencies and set your baby up for the best possible start. Utilizing naturopathic medicine, acupuncture and massage therapy I am able to alleviate or support the following:

Morning sickness                      Sciatica

Back pain                               Sleep/Insomnia

Immune support                        Constipation

Urinary tract infections               Anxiety

Depression/postpartum             Yeast infections

Gestational diabetes                 Thyroid function

Breech presentation                  Anemia

Birth preparation

I have over 20 years of supporting women throughout their pregnancies to being vibrant and healthy. I look forward to being a part of your village as I complete your circle of care during your pregnancy and prepare for your birth.

Postpartum Care

Congratulations! You did it, I knew you could. You now have your bundle(s) of joy and need a little more care for yourself and your new little ones. This is a time that can be overlooked, and I feel it is
almost even more important then when you were pregnant. You can utilize massage to help with your recovery from birthing, help with body aches that have begun after holding your bundle, and assist with restful sleep. Naturopathic medicine is a safe and natural approach for breastfeeding support, milk supply, mastitis, healing your perineum, pelvic floor therapy, and helping with postpartum depression. If you cannot make it into the clinic for direct care, book a virtual appointment.

Urinary Incontinence
  • Do you leak even just a little when you laugh, cough, sneeze or run?

  • Are you rushing to the bathroom and don’t quite make it?

  • Are you using pads because you have less bladder control?

  • Are you restricting your activities because of increased frequency to urinate?

If you answered yes to any of these questions you may have pelvic floor dysfunction that is contributing to urinary incontinence. You may also relate to being pregnant and leaking when you cough, had pelvic surgery and now you leak or you’re aging and things seem a little more urgent than before. These different situations may be what is contributing to your urinary incontinence but it doesn’t have to stay that way. Urinary incontinence is something that is treatable with pelvic floor therapy. With my individualized and integrated approach, using naturopathic medicine, acupuncture and massage therapy techniques (external massage), you will find relief and solutions to urinary incontinence.

So if you’re leaking when you laugh, the solution is not to stop laughing.  It’s never too early or too late to make your pelvic health a top priority.  I provide a complete circle of care for your lady parts.

Pelvic Pain

Pain is a sensory and emotional experience.  We all experience pain differently and how we treat it needs to fit your individual needs and experiences.  Often the trigger is tension and unconsciously holding tension in the pelvic floor is our response to stressors in our life.  The emotional connection of tension in our pelvis is fear, anxiety, apprehension, resentment and anger.

There are a number of treatable conditions associated with pelvic pain:

Endometriosis                              Vulvodynia

Irritable bowel syndrome               Vaginismus

Pudendal neuralgia                      Pelvic trauma

Interstitial cystitis                          Chronic constipation

Pelvic vascular congestion             Coccydynia

Chronic Prostatitis                        Testicular pain

Pelvic floor therapy assists the pelvic floor muscles so that they provide support to organs and structures for optimal, pain free movement; control of bladder and bowel function; stability of low back and pelvis by working on the diaphragm, core, low back muscles and ligaments.  With the integration of naturopathic medicine, acupuncture and massage therapy we will create a strategy to treat, resolve and prevent pelvic pain.  With my additional training in pelvic floor therapy and extensive number of years (20+) of providing health care to patients, I will be your "pelvic health solution-ist".

Its never too early or too late to make you pelvic health a top priority. I will provide a complete circle of care for your pelvis and your overall health.

Children's Health

Hello Mommas and Pappas! I am a mother of three and know how you feel when your little one or big child isn’t 100%. Your Naturopathic visit will assess your child’s acute illness or condition and give you the tools (natural treatment options) and the knowledge to help your little ones. Pediatric naturopathic medicine uses safe, effective and gentle natural medicine to treat many conditions or to support healthy growth through infancy, childhood and adolescence.

Some typical concerns parents seek my naturopathic support to assist their children with include:

food introduction                                 cradle cap

constipation/diarrhea                          allergies

asthma                                              ear infections

skin rashes and eczema                       ADD/ADHD

yeast infections                                   teething

Autism Spectrum Disorder                     colds/flu

sleep difficulties                                  anxiety

puberty transition

Each child and family is unique and a healthy foundation can begin at any age. We know it takes a village to raise a child and I look forward to being a part of your ‘village’ and supporting you and your kiddos!

Pediatric follow-up visits are intended to reassess any acute illness or on-going conditions and ensure we are on track to resolution or following the growth and development of an infant, child and/or adolescent. Supporting parents and children as a team approach is a great passion of mine.
